When I decided to pursue schooling for the Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I had no idea that I would find my life’s purpose. From learning a new way to perceive the world, to using acupuncture while crafting herbal formulas, to witnessing the interplay of human emotions and how they translate into symptoms and illness; I discovered true passion in this medicine.
After I graduated in 2017 I became inspired by the unique way that Traditional Chinese Medicine guides women through life. I’ve broadened my studies to focus on balancing the menstrual cycle, easing through the transitions of pregnancy, birth, postpartum & menopause, supporting couples with fertility, and assisting with other gynaecological disorders. I have a passion for all issues related to womb health and helping women cultivate new possibilities.
In pursuit of finding balance within my own experiences of insomnia and anxiety, I also gained a special interest in mental-emotional disorders. I’ve come to witness that the way we interact with ourselves and the world can be expressed by the symptoms in our physical and emotional body. I bring this awareness into my general practice as I treat mental health, digestive complaints, respiratory disorders and a wide range of muscle-skeletal pain.
As a Registered Acupuncturist and Herbalist, I take great care in guiding clients to form lasting relationships with their health, habits, diet, and lifestyle. I love the time I spend in the treatment room and hope to support each patient’s journey as they move towards a balanced state of wellness.

I’ve always had a passion for connecting with others through meaningful conversations and vulnerability. This isn’t always easy, and I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest, open, and fully yourself. My hope is that we can build a relationship that makes coming to therapy feel comfortable, supportive, and genuinely worthwhile.
I welcome anyone seeking support, but I have a particular passion for working with new moms as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum changes, shifting roles and identities, and the emotional demands of this season of life. The perinatal period is often described as a time of joy, connection, and love—and it can be. But it can also bring enormous emotional, physical, and psychological changes. Your body is doing something remarkable, your identity is shifting, and suddenly there is a whole new person to care for. With all of these changes, it’s common to feel more anxious, low, overwhelmed, or simply unlike yourself. You might find your mind getting stuck in worry—about the baby, your body, your relationships, or whether you’re doing things “right.” You may feel constantly on edge, exhausted, or overwhelmed, or at times flat, disconnected, or unable to access the joy you expected. Many of these experiences are common, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate them alone. Therapy can offer a space that is just for you—a place where you can be honest about the parts of this experience that feel confusing, heavy, or even scary, without fear of judgment or pressure to have it all together.
When stress or overwhelming emotions begin to feel stuck in your body, finding a sense of calm can be easier said than done. Together, we can get curious about what your mind and body need to feel safe, build coping skills that actually work for you, strengthen resilience, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
I have training and experience in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for those healing from trauma and seeking deeper emotional relief. If you’re unfamiliar with these approaches, feel free to book a consultation—I’d be happy to explain how they work and how they might support your healing.

After years of debilitating pain, I was diagnosed with severe Crohn’s Disease at 13 years old. I went through many trials and many errors of medications and treatments, some resulting in severe allergic reactions. I felt lonely, misunderstood and embarrassed.
Now, with a practice focussed on abdominal health, utilizing Maya Abdominal massage and other incredible modalities like Somassage® and Access Bars®, it feels so full circle to be helping others in ways I was, or wanted to be, when I was going through the roughest time of my life.
I have a deep interest in holistic wellness and the body’s natural ability to heal. I believe that massage is more than just bodywork. It’s a powerful way to reconnect with your body and support your overall well-being.

Andrea Brown
Andrea started and finished her training as a 2200 hour Registered Massage Therapist in Halifax, NS in 2004.
Starting her career in Halifax, Andrea relocated to Alberta in 2016. Throughout her career, Andrea has worked in all settings from post surgery rehabilitation, post MVA, and all other forms of injuries to spa settings.
Since finishing basic education as a massage therapist, Andrea has spent the time since advancing her knowledge and skills. Focusing on advanced manual osteopathic style techniques, cranial sacral/somatic emotional release, myofascia release, paediatric therapy (0-8 years), and all that is encompassed within these therapies. Andrea has found that her training helps her create a well rounded treatment plan looking at the body on several plains and dimensions.
Andrea believes a body in movement should stay in movement for the rest of its life time. Having always being active, she found herself training as a yoga instructor after being in a MVA that left her with balance issues, post concussion symptoms among other things. Andrea has found that this training has melded well with her training as a manual therapist. She finds both continue to intersect each other as she continues to advance her skill set with both…always amazed at how the body can function and heal itself when reminded of how safe it is to do so.
Outside of her delight of work, Andrea enjoys spending time in her garden, taking her two pups for walks and lounging in the sun with her two cats. When able to, her and husband hit the road or sky looking for an adventure or just a great cup of coffee.

Megan Hickerty
(She/Her/Hers)
Megan believes every body has a story — and her work is about helping you listen to it. She takes a grounded, osteopathic approach, viewing the body as an interconnected system where structure and function are always shaping one another.
In session, Megan draws on a range of modalities — craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, neural manipulation, somatics, and functional breathing among them — to identify the strain, restrictions, and stress held in your fascia, muscles, organs, nervous system, and movement patterns. The goal is simple: create the space your body needs to move more freely and feel more at ease.
Megan holds a Holistic Health Care Practitioner Diploma from Grant MacEwan University and a 2,200-hour Massage Therapy Diploma from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy, along with advanced Osteopathic training through the Upledger and Barral Institutes in craniosacral and visceral work. Recently, she’s been studying Anatomy in Motion (AiM), which maps out how every joint in the body moves through a single step and reveals the patterns the body has been quietly building to feel safe while moving through life.
She’s endlessly curious — and she’ll invite you to get curious too, about the why behind how your body moves and feels.
